When experiencing sound, tracing linearity is almost always subjective. We can never know for certain if it is the same line. In this contained sound-cube dedicated almost entirely to Victor Pasmore’s linear symphonies, Christian Galea takes our ears out for a non-linear walk through sound. His soundscape explores what it means to ‘abstract’ from nature, just like Pasmore did. Lines and spaces define both rhythm, tonality, and frequency manipulation. Movement is inevitable. From the outskirts of Gudja, the line flows from a spiralling cube to the auditory object.
